1. Dua for Protection Against Anxiety and Laziness
Anas bin Malik said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had supplications that he never omitted to recite. He used to say:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal-Ḥuzni wal-’ajazi wal-kasli wal-bukhli wal-jubni wa ḍala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal.
‘O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.’
(Sunan an-Nasa’i 5449)

2. Dua for Protection from Diseases

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ وَسَيِّيءِ الأَسْقَامِ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min al-baraṣi wa-al-junūni wa-al-judhāmi wa-min sayyiʾi al-asqām
‘Oh Allah! I seek refuge in you from vitiligo, madness, leprosy, and evil diseases.’
(Abū Dāwūd and al-Nasaʾī)

Allah humma Rabban-naas, adhhibil-ba’s, washfi antash-Shaafi laa shifaa’a illaa shifaa’uka shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqamaa
‘O Allah, the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble and heal the patient, for You are the Healer. No healing is of any avail but Yours; healing that will leave behind no ailment.’
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5743)

9. Dua For Protection From Shirk
In Islam, Shirk is idolatry, polytheism, and the association of God with other deities. There are many different types of shirk, ranging from ‘minor shirk’ to major, which includes idolatry.
Allah is Al-Waahid (meaning ‘The Only One’), and to associate partners or other deities is haram.
اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ أَنْ أُشْـرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنا أَعْـلَمْ وَأَسْتَـغْفِرُكَ لِما لا أَعْـلَم
Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika an ushrika bika wa anā a`lam, wa astaghfiruka limā lā a`lam.
‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You lest I associate anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I know not.’

Surahs You Can Recite for Protection in Difficult Times
a. If you recite Ayatul Kursi, it asks Allah to protect you from all kinds of harm, like evil spirits, bad energy, and the evil eye.
The verse is often recited to create a spiritual barrier against jinn and harmful things. Many Muslims say this verse to build a spiritual shield around themselves.
Many Hadiths highlight the protective power of Ayatul Kursi. One of them states:
"Whoever recites Ha Mim Al-Mu'min - up to - To Him is the return (40:1-3) and Ayat Al-Kursi when he reaches (gets up in) the morning, he will be protected by them until the evening. And whoever recites them when he reaches the evening, he will be protected by them until the morning."
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi, 2879)
b. Surah al-Nas and Surah al-Falaq are the best ways to protect yourself from envy, the evil eye, and evil spirits. Uqbah (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Shall I inform you of the best words with which you can seek Allah’s protection?” I said: “Yes.” He said: “Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas.”
