The History of the Quran

What Language is The Quran Written in?

What is Juz in The Quran?

The Quran is split into 30 equal parts called Juz (plural: Ajza). This makes it easier for Muslims to read and study the Quran, allowing them to finish the whole Quran (a practice called Khatm) in one month, especially during Ramadan. Each Juz includes parts of one or more surahs, so it’s easier to read a section each day.

Although the division into Juz is not mentioned in the Quran or Hadith, it helps Muslims read the Quran regularly and systematically. It also helps them reflect on and understand the Quran’s teachings in an organized way.
