Agarwood, also known as oud, is a rare and precious aromatic resin derived from the heartwood of Aquilaria trees. These trees produce the resin as a response to fungal or microbial infection. Agarwood is highly valued in perfumery, traditional medicine, and spiritual practices, particularly in the Middle East, Asia.Oud oil is extracted from agarwood using steam distillation. It is often referred to as “liquid gold” due to its rarity, labour-intensive production, and exquisite fragrance profile.

Our aging periods range from 1 to 10 years + depending on the desired scent that we are satisfied with.Our oils have very specific specifications to ensure they are smooth, deep, complex with a balance of fully matured base notes. They are all very dark due to oxidation and aging. Most of our oils are for collectors hence the premium price and worn as a luxury fragrance.Our Oud oils involves soaking the agarwood in water for a specific number of days before distillation. The duration of the soaking process significantly influences the aroma profile of the resulting oud oil. The length of the soaking process is often chosen based on the type of agarwood, the desired oil profile, and regional preferences. Fake Oud oils are often diluted, synthetic or misrepresented in terms of quality or origin. Beware of cheap priced Oud oils as most likely they are synthetic or diluted. As they say if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Fake oud oils are flat,overly sweet and have no evolution. The high quality oils overwhelming, dominant, strong with a woody musky aroma. Fake oils are watery, oily due to its synthetics whereas high quality oils are thick and resinous. Fake oils are bright, unnatural colours whereas high quality Oud oils are dark and rich but can vary by region. Based on experience any oil that is over £500 per tola (12ml) is most likely high quality, aged oils.
