It all began in 2016, where I was looking for a modern, sophisticated, non-silk tie for my upcoming wedding. I thought this would be a simple enough task, but it proved to be more difficult than I expected.
With constant searches online and numerous visits to department stores, I was unable to find a reasonably priced tie which was contemporary, elegant and most of all non-silk, as this was a very important factor for me due to my religious beliefs.
After looking for several months, I settled on a non-silk tie from a designer brand, which of course came with a designer price tag. Paying a designer price tag didn't sit right with me, surely there must have been an alternative you ask, I'm afraid to say there was not. All the ties I found seemed dated and lacked the quality I was looking for.
The idea of not being able to wear an alternative material other than silk but yet with the look, feel and quality of a silk tie from a designer brand which was reasonably priced stuck in my mind. This is when I decided to create SI ties.
SI is a brand which gives you the quality you'd expect from a high-end designer brand but without the designer price tag, also encompassing all the attributes I was searching for without compromising one's faith.
