My name is Sophia Ali, and as an independent author, I am passionate about creating stories that help children make sense of life’s most profound moments. My debut book, Mummy Goes to Jannah, was inspired by the real-life experience of a parent from a near by nursery. This parent struggled to explain to their young daughter where her mother had gone after passing away. Drawing from this heartfelt situation, I wrote a story that gently introduces children to the concept of death and the Islamic belief in Jannah (paradise), offering a compassionate explanation in a way that children can understand. Through this book, I aim to help families who are navigating similar conversations, providing a tool for healing and comfort.
